Common repricing mistakes
Bulk repricing often goes wrong in three ways:
Common Scenarios:
- Naive percentage math leaves random decimals (e.g. 24.31) that kill the charm-pricing effect.
- Compare-at prices are set below or equal to the sale price, so Shopify never renders the strikethrough badge.
- Rounding up after a discount - a 10% sale on 9.90 becomes 9.99, which is an increase, not a discount.
Bulk repricing that keeps the psychology
ShopTools' bulk price editor applies your percentage or fixed adjustment, then rounds to a configurable .99 ending - down, never up - and lets you audit compare-at prices so sale badges render correctly.
Features:
- Percent & fixed adjustments: Apply a uniform rule across every variant in the file.
- Downward .99 rounding: Charm endings without accidentally raising prices.
- Compare-at awareness: Flags rows where compare-at is not above the sale price.
