Fields that silently break the import
These are the columns that look fine in Excel and break in Shopify:
Common Scenarios:
- Parent linkage: without re-attaching variation rows to their product, Shopify imports them as orphaned products.
- Regular price vs Variant Price: WooCommerce uses two price columns; Shopify's importer reads Variant Price and Compare At Price.
- Stock fields: Stock (numeric), Stock status (instock/outofstock) and Backorders need to collapse into one Variant Inventory Qty column.
Join and map in the browser
ShopTools converts WooCommerce product and variation files into one Shopify-ready CSV - parent-child rows rebuilt, prices and stock collapsed into the columns Shopify reads. All local, no upload.
Features:
- Product-variation join: Two WooCommerce files become one Shopify CSV
- Price field collapse: Regular/Sale price map to Variant/Compare At Price
- Stock normalization: Stock, status and backorders collapse to inventory qty
